Kuber is the track most riders mean when they say "the Bali ATV tunnel." The premium route drops you into a long natural cave tunnel — you're riding by bike headlight and the light of the quad in front of you — and pops out the other side into a working waterfall you actually ride through. From there it's jungle single-track, rice-field berms, bamboo forest, and a few river crossings that get your boots wet.
The mud section between the cave and the waterfall is where the track earns its reputation. Volcanic soil in Payangan stays wet year-round, and the ruts here can grab a front wheel if you let off the throttle. Most riders finish looking like they've been on a building site — that's a feature, not a bug.
Visitor tip: Book the 9:00 AM slot. The cave is at its most dramatic when the contrast between dark and daylight is sharpest, and the early start means your boots are mostly dry by lunch.

What sets Jambe Asri apart is how the obstacles are sequenced. The mud ruts are longer than most competitors', the river sections are deeper (expect water up to the foot-pegs on a tandem), and the final climb back to base has a gradient that punishes lazy throttle control. The on-site showers, towels, and lunch buffet make it easy to transition straight into the rest of your day.
Visitor tip: Wear a tight-fitting buff or bandana. Dust at the back of the line gets thick, and the post-ride shower is a lot more comfortable if you're not coughing all the way through it.

Then you head out onto a track that doesn't pull its punches: jungle climbs, mud sections carved into hillside, river crossings, and the famous Gorilla Cave.
The premium 450cc upgrade is worth the extra spend if you have any riding experience. The extra torque makes the climbs feel planted instead of desperate, and the 450cc single is the bike most staff will quietly recommend to anyone who says the word "fun."
Visitor tip: Skip the tandem if you're riding with a partner. The 250cc single is plenty for one rider, and the smiles from the on-site photographers are noticeably bigger when you're solo.

The Jalak Bali track is, by a wide margin, the longest single-route ATV ride on this list. The suspension bridge is the headline photo — a narrow steel and wood span strung across a river gorge — but the real challenge is the cumulative fatigue. Riders who finish the Jalak Bali loop tend to walk a little funny for the rest of the day.

What to Bring on a Bali ATV Ride
- Clothes you don't mind ruining — even on a "dry" track, expect some mud
- Closed-toe shoes — most operators provide boots, but trainers you can rinse are better

Safety Tips for Challenging Tracks
- Listen to the full safety briefing. Guides repeat themselves because the first time nobody listens.

The dry season, April through October, is the sweet spot. Trails are still muddy (which is part of the fun), but rain is short and predictable, the rivers are low enough for safe crossings, and the sky stays clear for the rice-terrace views. Avoid the heavy January–February rains if you can — tracks close without notice, and the mud on extreme routes like the Kuber tunnel can become genuinely dangerous.
Early-morning slots are best year-round. The light is better, the trails are less chewed up from earlier groups, and you'll usually be back at the hotel before the afternoon heat peaks.
